Hornady 1911 Primer tube filler jams

When tilting it, don't tilt too far or they will jam. A shallow angle works best so that they don't pile up near the tube.. I know this from several years of owning one. I also found that Winchester primers didn't work well in it, CCI rarely if ever jam.

Looking for a good 6.5 cm load.

H4350 for me. Tried Varget, IMR 4064 and even Staball 6.5, but always ended up with H4350. Hornady 140gr Match or ELD's. They work well at 1,000 yds. YMMV though.

    Selling Brass what a pain.....

There was a Facebook group, The Brass Bank, long ago for buying and selling brass only. I worked well until ding dong shut it down. People will ask idiotic questions so the more info you post the better. But I never answer questions that were answered in my original post, unless I responded -...

    Hornady press warranty

Give them a call and they will tell you how to proceed. When mine went back, they paid freight both ways but I think it depends on the situation. Hornady's customer service is the best.

    loading for a CZ 75

I have 3 CZ75's, two in 9mm and on in 40 S&W. In the 9's I am currently loading and shooting 125gr Blue Bullets, I got a deal on them. They feed and shoot fine. They also feed and shoot fine in my VP9 and Zenith Z5P.

    Shell holder ID.

It certainly looks exactly like my Lee #11 that I use for 45 Colt. It came with my Lee die set decades ago.

    Hornady AP 9mm Die Layout

I use the Hornady seat/crimp dies and have for 10's of thousands of rounds and it works. Just be sure, as you would with any die you own, to read and follow the instructions.

Unexpected response from Hornady today. Not ~good~ either...

When calling Hornady, ALWAYS press #3 for Tech Support. Never ask for Customer Service in the beginning. If you need them Tech Support will transfer you.

    Wet Tumbling

I've been wet cleaning, rifle and pistol, for years and won't go back to corncob. Deprime, then an ounce or so of Dawn, 1/4 teaspoon of Leminshine and cold water. A dryer (Hornady, it was on sale) and I am ready to go. I totally agree with really clean brass is easier to inspect.

Unexpected response from Hornady today. Not ~good~ either...

Hornady Tech Support is the way to go. I have had my LNL AP for years and loaded, I don't know how many 10's of thousands of rounds for the 7 calibers I load on it. More than a few parts preplaced, some due to my mistakes, others just worn. I was having trouble with indexing that no matter...

    Best Powder for 147gr , 9mm

I would load 5 - 10 of each checking velocity, accuracy etc. After all, that is part of the fun isn't it? That said, I use a lot of CFE Pistol, less muzzle flash, accurate and reduces copper fouling.

    Favorite heavy 9mm projectiles

I went with the 125's (.05 - .06 each) because they are cheap and I don't plan on using them for anything other than plinking.

    Favorite heavy 9mm projectiles

In my CZ75 SP01, I've shot 147gr Berry's HBRN and 125gr Blue Bullets, both subsonic suppressed. They both work fine.

    Reloading 9mm Luger

I have never trimmed a pistol case, 9mm nor any of the other 5 or 6 that I load. Crimp - remember that 9mm chambers on the case mouth so just enough to remove the bell and hold the bullet securely.

    Hornady 68gr 223 bthp help

While I can't help you with the 68gr bullets, my current go to powder in 223 is IMR 8208 XBR. It is a short grain extruded powder and temp stable, plus it meters exceptionally well. I have used it with 55, 77 and even 80 gr bullets with excellent results. The 7 or 8 twist barrels should work...

    Xtreme bullets

I have shot 10's of thousands of xTreme and Berry's plated bullets in various calibers. They are great. One note, they are not recommended to exceed 1250 fps. Lots of different powders out there, CFE Pistol, Silhouette, Power Pistol and others. Work up a load that cycles your gun reliably.

Another vote for Annealeez. It just works.

    Double check everything.....

Hope you have the lot # to send them with the photo. I had a Hornady 22-250 case with no flash hole. Sadly I had already tossed the package.

    Cabelas Prices

My local gun store charges $35/lb for all powders (except Trail Boss). $35 for Bullseye, I don't think so. I think he's just lazy or plays on the fact that some will pay whatever when they need something in a pinch.
