I have a 1,200 Meopta scope (and I need to get another one) that's been on about 5 big guns that I have owned in the past and the quality of this scope beats a 2,200 Leupold scope when it comes to low light. Meopta in Europe is like Leupold in the USA.......... Buy them!

Max,,,,I shoot a Taurus Raging Bull in .454 that has a ported barrel. I can shoot this gun one handed with no problem. The recoil is very mild....... What's your opinion on "Ported barrels"?

Ive been shooting deer with a 45/70 for many years here in the lowcountry of S.C. and Hornady Leverevolution 325 grain is all I use. On hogs too! As the guys are saying,,,,you dont need anything fancy when it comes to a 45/70.....

Got a Savage model 111 300 Win Mag that I putting a Leupold MARK5HD 7-35X56 scope on. Want to be able to group pretty good at about 300-400 yards. What else should I do to the gun? Anything? I think Ive found the best factory ammo already. Will I have to roll my own ammo to stretch it out...

I also carry the .45 Smith Shield,,,,and the 9mm,,and the 40

,,,,,,,,,,,,you need to shoot the bullet that's the most accurate in "Your" gun. If you cant hit where your aiming,,,why shoot? One with a wide meplat will be best for hunting.

You guys talk about Federal working so well in Savage. I own 4 Savage rifles and Im sorry to say that Federal dose not group well in any of them. Winchester in one, Hornady in two of them and the other likes Remington.....ya never know!

"ANY" 150 Gr bullet that's ACCURATE will put a hog down if its put in the right place! I like the neck. AND,,,,,Always be ready with a back-up shot. Thanks for the picture Flint!!
