After a bit of work I was able to make enough ammo to actually enjoy my VZ-52. This gun has a very nice bore and shoots perfectly with the "new" ammo. The ammo was made from PPU 7.62x39 blanks. I posted a bit about this in the Reloading section if you are interested.
I got a few hundred of the PPU 7.62x39 Blanks to play with and so far the results have been good. I've fiddled with my process a bit and I think I have it down to a workable process. No machining required.

I have a supply of Buffalo Arms Hornady 220 Swift converted to 7.62x45. They work fine, but are like $2 each. Just for the hell of it I got some PPU 7.62x39 blanks to try and convert them to 7.62x45.
1st attempt - clipped off end of live blank with snips. Dumped powder, opened up end of blank...
I was having issues making good, reliable .32ACP ammo with lead bullets so I went back to basics and slugged a few bores.
Quite a variation in bore sizes. No wonder I was having issues with the CZ's chambering & working properly with the lead bullet loads. The Remington 51 is fairly new and I...
Shot two different CZ Bren 2Ms firearms today and both exhibited poor accuracy, 3 to 6 MOA.
1. 16" Carbine with Sig Tango4 6-24x
2. 11" Pistol with Trijicon Accupoint 1-6x
Also shot a Keltec RDB Survival with a Trijicon RMR 1x and one of my 18" AR's with an off brand crap scope on it at the...
So I won this in an auction lot with some other stuff and now I think it might be cool enough to keep rather than just sell.
It's a Colt New Service 357 mfg in 1939 with British proof marks.
I know the grips are wrong.
Anyone have any knowledge or history on us sending these Colt 357's over to...
New PWS gun with Factory Federal ammo
Customer together with a local "Range Officer" thought he broke the firing pin. That is the anvil from the primer poking through the back of the primer. Forbidden pepper was scattered all over inside the gun. Gun was still working, but a bit crunchy. Firing...
Custom color on the frame and graphite black on everything else. And a bit of gold in just the right spots. I used a burnt bronze mix on the frame and it has just the right amount of sparkle in the sunlight. Looks awesome in the sun and turns dull in low light. Couldn't get the camera to capture it.
This is one of those odd, sentimental guns a person just had to get fixed and did not care what it cost. He just wanted it back the way his father had it. It's a Mossberg 250KB with a Weaver 330 scope on a Weaver 3/4" mount. It was a wreck, covered in paint, broken firing pin, locked up...
Came across this and not sure what I have. Pulled the metal from the stock to clean it since it was filthy from years of storage. I thought it was a typical sporterized Mauser, it is not.
Original blue. No marks of any kind from modifications to the metal. Metal appears to be all original...
Here is a real series 70, WWII edition. Every single part is correct, not a rework. From the original owner, a tanker in WWII. Five correct magazines, etc. Shot and it works flawlessly. What magnificent piece of history.
Got a 1907 Husqvarna that had been converted to .380ACP from the original 9mm Browning Long in slightly rough shape and decided to make a project out of it.
Acquired a NOS bare slide and barrel, had Novak fit proper sights, and I parkerized the entire gun. Also ordered a NOS recoil spring...
I know very little about these guns. This one appears to be in fine condition with a near perfect bore and >90% original finish. All matching numbers except the magazine. WWII GI bring back with the GI's name and number inscribed on the holster. We got this from his family along with a photocopy...
Well I've finally got an in person interview up in Portland for a really good job. My wife may have a line on a job in Canby. So once again I'll ask you folks where a good area for a guy to move to in or around Portland and Canby, perhaps in between the two, that I can get a few acres and setup...
I got a freebie Winchester M70 (post'64) in .25-06. I guess the .25-06 would be a good deer gun. Don't really need another deer gun since I have matching 6.5x55 deer rifles for the wife and I already. The stock on the M70 is all hacked up so it has to go. Rest of the gun is okay. Not sure about...
All right. I'd already had about enough of the non-THR booger pickers shooting up the signs on my county roads. But now you've gone and shot the local public mailbox all full of holes. Hit my mailbox and several others. If I catch ya, I'm going . . . .
Seriously, this is one more reason to...
Right out of a proposed California Law AB2062:
"28)Defines "ammunition" to include, but not be limited to, bullet, cartridge, or projectile capable of being fired from a firearm with deadly consequence."
Looks to me like we won't even be able to buy bullets anymore. Some out of state...
The kit parts:
Assembled on my old Pro200o press.
Haven't used it yet. Ran it a little with a dry case to get a feel for it. worked and felt great. Can't wait to give it a try.
Lots of people load at, near or over the max book loads. I tend to load a lot of light stuff for Steel Challenge usage. I've done some pretty light stuff in 9MM, .38 Super, .40S&W and .45ACP.
This all in semi auto guns with non stock (light) springs.
So I was just wondering what folks...
