Being somewhat vertically challenged and hunt in MI for Whitetails when it's cold out and have a pile of clothes on I find that the LOP on my 270WSM is a bit long. I would think it would be more cost efficient to just buy another stock that is shorter but am having trouble finding one. Any ideas?
Just added one of these fine rifles to my collection. Now I need ammo to shoot stuff with. I am finding it is fairly expensive, anyone have any favorite places to find this stuff cheap?
Ok, what is the easiest way to do this. I have not started reloading yet but have most of the "stuff". I have the Lee 4-hole turret and would like to mount the powder measure to it somehow. I have seen a die for this purpose I am just wondering if this is the easiest way to go about it. I...
I always take shots that are just behind the front shoulder to minimize meat damage. It wouldn't matter then which bullet weight you used just about anything with a .270 is going to pass through. If you want to see a lung or two laying where you shot the deer use the 130's.
I will second the Kadet conversion. I bought one put on my 75BD and was pretty amazed at the accuracy I was getting. Great cheap fun and helps break in the trigger at the same time. Also helps keep the chipmunk population down. The trigger on my BD isn't bad but the one on my PCR isn't as...
CZ PCR. I can carry 14 in the mag and it is the most accurate gun I own. I have a G27 I like a lot too. I would like to handle a G23 some day, I think that would be just about perfect for concealed carry.
Thanks for the replies. I am just getting into reloading so excuse me if I ask stupid questions but will the RCBS tool use the same shell holders that come with the LEE dies?
In your opinion which is the best hand primer for the money. I don't want to have to buy special shell holders for each caliber so I would like to get one that uses standard shell holders or has some kind of universal holder. That pretty much rules out the LEE Auto Prime.
Thanks
E-mail them they will be happy to send you a new manual which has a parts break down. I had to do it myself a while back when I thought I lost my 383-A manual. http://www.bersa-llama.com/
Ser.# is N78XX. Very nice would like to know when it was manufactured. It is in very good condition with the original box but it offers no info.
Thanks
Anyone know where to get a good deal on one in S.E. Michigan. I want one that has fire protection and is 10 ga. or better for the body. Was hoping to find some kind of scratch and dent sale.
Has anybody heard if any of the ammo manufacturers are going to start loading the .270wsm? I thought Remington was putting out one offering but I have never seen it. I'm not knocking the Winchester stuff but it would be nice to have more of a selection.
Ok, that's kind of what I wanted to hear. I have "free" money to spend at Cabelas from having one of their credit cards. The dilema I was having is that they do not carry the Weaver. Thanks for the replys.
I am going to buy either a Leupold VXII 3x9x40 or a Weaver Grand Slam 3x10x40. Does anyone have experience with both of these that could shed some light on which one is the better scope.
I just ordered a model 11GNS in .270wsm, the price is 340.00 plus tax. However, this is from a dealer I know who charges me 20.00 over his cost. A good guy to know.
