To measure neck walls, the easiest, cheapest, and best way I know is to measure a bullet, seat it, then measure the case neck. Subtract the bullet diameter and divide by 2. This presumes you have a decent caliper or micrometer available...:scrutiny: Tom

On my latest rifle, purchased specifically for 'Ol Wiley, I installed a Bushnell Elite 4-16X40. <$350, and I prefer it to Leupolds. The rifle is a CZ 527 in .17 Remington. I have 4-16s on a lot of my varmint guns, guess I like that range. Clean kills or clean misses! Tom

Well...:D I use one on a regular basis. I had a "mildcat" built, and the only dies I have for it are the Wilson hand dies that my 'smith cut with the chamber reamer. So, I load on the arbor press. The ammo is usually more accurate because the dies -- especially the seater -- are dead...
