thats what i was thinking too. I would be afraid to shoot this gun much without the brake.

both pads are soft enough to tame recoil. I dont think you could go wrong with either one. But definately look into practicing more to get used to the recoil. I was able to work my way up 3 1/2inch buckshot shells and can somewhat comfortably manage it, and i dont have a great recoil pad

yep, also own a model 65 from browning in 218 bee. i got a scout style 4x scope mounted on it too, with a special barrel clamp style mount infront of the foregrip. very sweet gun, i just got it late last year and only shot it a few times so far

i hope to take out some of the coyotes around my friends camp as well as were i hunt. They do damage the deer herd thats for sure. I shot a doe a few years ago in a herd of about 15. As they went by i saw a coyote or two trailing them close. Couldnt get a shot. they run those deer tired

foxes seem abit rare around here now too, i havent seen many or know many who have caught any in traps or hunted them. Coyotes tho we do have a good share of, but they are very hard to hunt. PA coyotes are cautious animals and pretty cunning

totally recoiless is one thing but taming recoil of a large round like a 338-378 weatherby down to that of a 223 is easier to do. requires a 30 lb bench gun and a muzzle brake. gun jumps alittle but recoil is almost non existant.

i think the way the stock aligns could be the problem. changing the angle in which the stock meets the reciever could throw your barrel up at a angle. you need to shim that angle back to stock. try measuring it and see how it looks. that copstock sounds like its not allowing you to align...

Does anyone make a drop in trigger assembly that will turn my sloppy shotgun trigger into a crisp rifle like trigger? I use this gun more for slug gun hunting now and want to get a better trigger for cleaner shots and better accuracy. I cant seem to find anything out there

interesting, but as my experience with buckshot patterning is growing, i see that gun being relatively useless out past 40 yards, with 50 being a stretch. its harder to guarantee a 1 shot kill at those ranges with buckshot. now with slugs, it have to have full rifling to stabalize a sabot...
