BOTH are parts kit guns. The d-technik receiver is Czech made but not by CZ. Everything else except the plastic U.S. parts are original milsurp. The CAI has a u.s receiver and barrel, everything else is milsurp.
Green Mountain makes the U.S sorry barrel. They have such a reputation for...
I have 2 and the d-technik guys here knocking the CAI are full of it. True the VZ2008 are not built to the same specs, they don't have any plastic parts. They are both milsurp parts guns. The biggest differences are the d-tech guns have an AFTERMARKET czech receiver and the original chrome line...
I really don't get the they should use AR mags thing. Nobody expects an AR, FAL, M14, 10/22, mags to work. They are different rifles. duh.
I love my 2 vz2008.
Pretty much my experience too. I bought 2 for 360 each and consider them my best deals ever. I don't have a machinist experience but they seemed to be as well made as any of my other rifles. I have read other machinist praising the receivers of their vz2008 so as far as you and I getting "good...
I have zero experience with any of these rifles but generally hear talk about their accuracy. I know there are other factors but is this ranking about right for just accuracy? Any other rifles that should be in this list?
AR10 or other 308 AR clones
M1A, M14
Browning BAR
G3 / PTR91...
Why shoot with the helmet on? Just so I can keep my power ranger look intact? I can't think of a legit reason to do so but maybe just to get use to shooting with a helmet on?
I am not really worried about being attacked at all but it is possible out there in Deliverance country all alone so I...
WHAT? You carry for personal protection but don't at least protect your head from a clear and present foe, a fifty mile per hour fall on asphalt?
I guess the jacket pocket would make sense ...
Gloves and zippers would cramp my lightning fast draw though :)
First I am making the assumption you do wear gear when you ride and not just a tee shirt and flip flops. In my case my jacket is too short to carry on my belt. I am also thinking of comfort and where a pistol would add extra impact if I got in a crash. I am thinking maybe a cross draw shoulder...
To be more exact the vz2008 uses the original vz58 milsurp parts versus the czechpoint u.s. made polymer trigger parts. One difference for sure is the original spring has two prongs and the one with czechpoint has one prong. I have thought about buying the czechpoint parts to see if I would like...
Last year I bought 2 century vz2008, vz58s, for 360 each. Best value ever for a 7.62x39 semi auto rifle. They bumped the price up to around 500 now though.
