I want to get an AK as soon as I can, as I predict major gun control legislation in the future. My question is are the AK's (Yugo's) listed on websites like J&G Sales, or classicarms.us new or used? Nowhere does it say 'used' or 'refurbished', but neither does it say 'new'.

'full power' loads? Which commercial brands if any are loaded to the cartridges 'full' potential? I've seen 8mm Mauser from Remington, Federal, Hornady etc. I already have a .30-30 & am looking for an economical bolt action rifle to fill the 'high power rifle' niche. :D

I'm considering buying an M24/47 Mauser (Samco?) Is this a quality brand or a rip off P.O.S.? Also, on Remington's website, the ballistics of the 8mm Mauser are comparable to the .30-30 Win. Is this right? I thought the 8mm was more in the .30-06 class?
