    Scope problems

I have been sighting in scopes for years and have run into a problem I cannot figure out. I purchased a marlin 45/70 and put a Redfield 2x7x33mm scope on it. I have had to crank the scope as far up as it will go and it will still shoot 2 inches low. I would like to be able to put the sights...

    Walther P22

I recently purchased one for a light kit gun and enjoy it. Its not a buckmark or Ruger for accuracy, but not bad either. I am looking for a decent trail holster for a lefty and have not found any. I would prefer nylon of kydex. Any ideas on vendors? Thanks

    Hearing Protection

What kind of protection do you use (if any in the field)? During deer season I just slip in my ear plugs before I shoot, but this year have had severl wing shots (walking a dove field and doves flying from cover) and would like to protect what hearing I have left. Thanks!

    C&R license

I just applied for mine. As a former FFL owner, I knew the headaches that caused, but this looked like the answer since the military rifle bug hit me. What are the best dealers and ways that other C&R license folks do for obtianing their collection? Thanks!

He died doing what he loved.

As most of you know my nephew. He was diagnosed with liver/lung cancer at age 7, died today. He was on a make-a-wish hunt in Canada and was flying back home when he died. He did get to shoot a bear and told his dad that he loved him and just stopped breathing while on the flight. On June 22...

After reading awhile back about places to order paracord, I opted for: http://countycomm.com/index.htm Not only did the quality of the materials prove to be exceptiion (The flint striker damn near caught my office on fire when I tried it out. Thought my carpet was going to ignite) but the...

    .375 Ruger

I recently got a listing of the new Hornaday and Ruger get together on the .375 Ruger. This round is supposed to fit in 30-06 sized action but deliver more FPS than the .375 H&H. Anyone know if any other gun manufacturers are going to chamber this one? Not that I have a problem getting a...

For those who are owners of the Marlin line of 30-30 rifles (or Winchester for that matter), what optics has everyone tried and liked? I just picked up a 336a and plan for this to be my "travel in states where handgun is illegal" and as a gun for deer hunting in Georgia. I am thinking of a...

    Best Prairie Dog rig

What rig(s) would you folks recommend for hunting prairie dogs? I'm thinking .223 or .22-250, but am wondering if the .243 might be a good choice as well. Also what power/brand of scope would you recommend? I would like to be able to have a multi use firearm and the .243 seems to be a better...

    Model 10 vs model 60

Does anyone have a model 10 S&W with a 2 inch barrel? I am wondering how it compares in size to the model 60. I had a Taurus Model 65 and it did not compare at all to a model 60, but always thought that the Smiths were a little lighter and slimmer (i.e. easier to carry). Thanks!
