Rather than buying a new USGI sling for my 10/22, I am thinking of using the leather USGI sling that is on my Garand. Has anyone done this? I just thought of it and won't be able to check fit/length until I get home later today.

I just received in the mail the new 22# spring that I ordered for my G20. As the Wolff spring is not "captured" I have also ordered a guide rod. With the recoil spring is a smaller spring that I believe is the firing striker spring replacement. Is it necessary to install this as well?
