    Carry a Mora????

Why not? :) Well, because the factory sheath leaves a lot to be desired.:( I LOVE my 840 MG Clipper. But it stays in my pack do to the loose fitting crappy sheath. I know there are leather makers and Kydex benders out there who can fix you up. But as I am frugal I wasn't about to spend...

A pocket Fixed blade for my son

My son really fell in love with my JK Anniversary knife that is my EDC. As you can tell it gets used a lot. But at 6 1/2" OAL with a 3" blade it is a bit much for the pocket of a 10 year olds pants. Not to mention the price is a bit much too. So I ordered him a slightly smaller knife. A...

    Knives you couldn't be without

We haven't had one of these type threads in awhile. Here are mine. My Victorinox Hiker. The saw, philips and slotted drivers have proven themselves handy on many occasions. I really would be lost without this tool. My JK Anniversary EDC. It is also the "newest" in my collection. With...

    Fixed Blade Perfection

At least my idea of perfection. I have slowly been adding to my fixed blade carry rotation. Aside from my SAK or a slipjoint I rarely carry a folder anymore. So far I have a tiny 1 1/2" blade necker/pocket knife, a larger 2 3/8" blade (cutting edge)pocket/belt knife, and a 3 7/8" belt knife...

    My latest

Got this in yesterday...... O1, 1/8" thick and 6"OAL with a scale to tip of 2 3/4" . Tan canvass micarta with black liners. Made by JK Handmade knives, a great addition to my EDC rotation. A nice fit between my BK11 and my little mini-nessmuck necker.

    JK Handmade Knives Hiker

After a wait I got this in today.(Along with his "Freebie" tin knife) His normal Hiker has a 4" blade. Mine was made with a Connecticut legal 3 7/8inch blade. It is 8" OAL and made from 1/8" O1 with black micarta scales and red liners. I also had thumb serrations added and a lined lanyard...

    My new pocket knife

And my very first custom. I placed an order from a member of another forum,JK Handmade Knives, for a custom Hiker. That knife will be ready in May. While scanning through his available list I saw this little gem and had to have it. It is a mini-Nessmuck with a Kydex neck/pocket...

    Kershaw Zing

I had to pick up a new carry knife. Due to downsizing, and not wanting to collect unemployment, I took a 4 day a week job in an adjoining state. This state doesn't allow me to carry a fixed blade concealed. :fire: So ... I needed a new one-hand knife to carry with my SAK. :) So I picked this...

Finally..a day warm enough to play with non-firearm weapons

A beautiful warm semi-sunny day out. Me and the boy got to play outside and practice some woods skills. First my son (9) took on some zombie coffee cans with his trusty Daisy. Its about time for a Christmas .22 this year (who cares what the ex says  ) Our knives for the day..My...

Beating on a Becker BK11 (pic heavy)

Literally.........Up to now my BK11 has been my EDC and hasn't seen any real rough use. When the weather warms up it will also be my main woods bumming knife backed up by a SAK. Since today got up to a balmy 22 degrees :)I got hit with spring fever and played outside. When I camp don't...

    EDC and How many threads.

The "Whats your EDC" and "How many" threads got me to thinking, yah I know its dangerous. As an accumulator of knives I do forget that most normal people don't have a lot of knives laying around. Some of you guys carry the same knives,or even knife , daily. I,on the other...

    Buck's Hartsook Smidgen

Rupestris posted about this knife awhile back. Thanks to his heads up I finally got around to picking one up ($15 shipped new off ebay). I liked the look of Bucks Hartsook before but I don't like S30V steel. The Smidgen is Buck's 420HC. Blade length is 1 7/8 " and the whole knife is 4 1/4"...

    Walmart 2008 Winchester Tins

Now I know I am a knife addict. I was out grabbing a couple small items in sporting goods today. Last minute shopping for when my son and I go out for an overniter with his Cub Scout troop tonight :D Then I saw the tins, two to choose from one for $20 and one for $10. No Buck tins were out.:(...

    Butt Cuffs ??

I see in photos posted here alot of you use them. So I got some questions for you. I don't use one. I am right handed but also shoot lefty just for practice. I have found that a butt cuff gets in the way.So I just use a side saddle. So do you folks who use one practice with your "off "...

    I bought a Chinese Knife..

Well,it was designed by an American so I guess my Schrades will forgive me.:) I have been toying with the idea of a Neck/Pocket fixed blade for when I can't carry my sharpfinger or Kabar skinner on my belt. So I added this to my order from Knifeworks and it arrived yesterday. A CRKT...

    My first knife mod

First a little background on why. Last weekend my son and I put together a couple of basic Personal Survival Kits for ourselves to carry on our woods bumming trips.Since I am cheap we did it with the least amount of cash spent. When it came to knives I let him add a Vic Recruit to his kit ($12)...

    My latest favorite EDC

Not a product of the old Imperial Schrade Corp. A nice 1988 Case 62087 3 1/4" sepentine jack. Kind of a large peanut (which I will never own  ) Stainless...but it works. Been in my pocket since I picked it up Friday, fits in my watchpocket nicely. Great...

    I love my mailman!

Well NOT in that way. Had a bad day at work and was outside relaxing with a cold one when he pulled up with not one BUT TWO of my ebay wins. First is a WWII Imperial easy-opener,bone scales with brass (early war) liners. A little oil and crud removal and the blade snap moves the knife in...
