    Looking for honest answers

I have a firearms bugout bag and I bought one of the "Seventy Two" kits but really need to do put together an additional bag. Like many here, I feel my home is my castle and can't imagine leaving without enough time to prep.

USCCA here. No complaints, but obviously haven't had to use their services

Which pro 2nd amendment org. is best ?

I've not seen USCCA mentioned here, although I would consider them a gun rights organization.

    Guns Pending Repair" Anyone......

My M44 starts easy to cycle, but as it heats up it gets harder to open. After about 20 rounds it's very difficult. Once it cools down, easy again. jw

    Guns Pending Repair" Anyone......

Got a beautiful FN-49 rifle that just locked up after firing a cartridge; need to figure out a way to get it apart now. jw

Gun shops in Myrtle Beach, SC?

I think Coastal Sports is gone now. I occasionally shoot at Ted's, nice place, especially after they remodeled. jw

    GSG-5 value?

Any ideas on the current value of the GSG-5 .22's? I have one I bought NIB about 8 months ago; recently heard they may have stopped production. Has that affected their value? jw

    Couple of value questions

I have an opportunity to pick up a Colt CAR-15 for $1000. Late 70's or early 80's production. 85-90% condition. My AR's are much newer and are not Colts, which I would assume are more valuable. Any ideas? I DID pick up the M14A - a Federal Ordnance model with hinged buttplate. Looks to...

    1911, Lefty Shooter & Ambi-Safety

My SA Micro Compact 3" is my primary carry. I wouldn't carry it without my ambi safety. Last thing I need to be doing is fumbling with my grip trying to use a finger or something to get a right handed safety off when I really need to be using the weapon. Those of you who are comfortable with...

CETME rifles from classicarms - anything bad about them?

Spend a couple hundred dollars more and pick up a nice used PTR-91. You'll save yourself some hassle, in my opinion. jw

    Big Bore Lever Gun recommendations

I've got a .444 Marlin Guide Gun and a .45-70. Love em both, but the cost of the ammo is daunting for the .444 I am slowly collecting brass and I expect to pick up some reloading dies for it soon; this will make it much less expensive to own and operate. jw

Personal defense .45 loads with 3" barrel

With my 3" SA Micro Compact I carry 230 grain hardball. I do this because my micro digests hardball better than anything and because with the reduced velocity of a 3" I feel like I get just as much bang for the buck with hardball, and a heavier bullet to boot. jw
