    Mauser stock opinions

I have been trying to put together a reasonably correct bcd 4 and have everything but the stock selected. I recently read an article which indicated that in 1945 the Kriegs Model stock was produced in both laminate and solid walnut and came in every possible combination (screwed on barrel...

    Bolt Forgery?

Pictured is a bolt from an all matching rifle dou 43 serial number 61xx. Along side of it is a matching bolt serial number 50xx. Both are waa63 bolts. What's interesting is the lower serial number bolt has the late war round gas holes. Is this possible?

    magazine identification

Can anyone identify this magazine. I was cleaning out the back of my safe an I found this in a box of old m1carbine mags. It is a hair under 1 inch thick, 6 inches at the back and 5 3/8 at the front and 3 1/8 back to front. I'm thinking 308 because it's much to short to take 30/06, 8mm, or...

    Stock Question

This stock was on a vz24 I bought recently. It appears to be a late war 98k stock altered to use the vz24 metal and sling. Does anyone recognize the stock stamp. It has a cupped butt plate (in the white) with the take down hole in the plate. The band spring slot appears to be professionally...

    Star Modelo Super

I just bought a Star Modelo Super. It appears to be in great shape but the I find that actioning the slide requires considerable less force than say a 1911. Everything functions, the recoil spring appears to be correct and it strips the round and returns to battery with no problem. This is in...

Question about Mosin Nagant model 44 bolt

I have a really nice mosin Nagant 44 but as it is in most cases the bolt is not numbered to the receiver. The marking on the bolt are a circle with a star inside, a triangle with the numbers 25 or 26 inside, the number 73 just under the triangle and a larger 70 below that. Would submit photos...

    Japanese Type 38 stock separation.

Anyone ever have success in rejoining the separated butt stock on a Japanese rifle. I recently purchased a nice Type 38 and would fix the stock if possible. I believe the stock separation is caused by the drying out and shrinking of the wood as the butt plate still fits the stock and the stock...

I just bought a bunch of stripper clips for my Enfield #4 mk1 and they don't seem to be wide enough for the slot. They fit very loose and I was wondering if this is normal. They look like the pictures I've seen of the clips. They don't give the darn things away so I hope they are correct
