303 enfield question

I just bought a bunch of stripper clips for my Enfield #4 mk1 and they don't seem to be wide enough for the slot. They fit very loose and I was wondering if this is normal. They look like the pictures I've seen of the clips. They don't give the darn things away so I hope they are correct

They may need sprung a little. I have some, and I get the impression they were designed to be one use. I have gently squeezed together the sides to get a tighter fit. Tends to be temporary....

loose fitting in the slot is normal. otherwise it wouldnt be in and out huh? a tight fit for a stripper clip means a slower reloading time

You need to stager your rounds so you don't get rim lock.

Those are correct. The fit is loose for rapid loading and removal. Stagger the rounds to avoid rim lock. And if the charger is not gripping the rounds tight enough it is fairly easy to bend them to grip tighter.
