Thanks RC , I thought the same thing but the N frame grips I have were from a model 29 and dont fit and I just wondered if the frame was a little different or something. Thanks for the answer.
I recently traded for a model 58 S&W and was wondering if anyone made target grips for it? I tried a set of old target grips I had from a model 29 and they dont quite fit. any suggestions?
I own 3,4 &5 screw versions as well as a pre model 10 victory model. They are my favorite S&W model. They are all four inch except for the five screw , it is a two inch.
I sure hope 38 doesn't go away, I have 8 38 and three or four 357's. I am thinking about reloading also, I reload my rifle rounds but have never started reloading pistol ammo.
:what:Kitt you think that gun jumps, I saw a guy shoot a 44 mag. over and under derringer with Hornady xtp's , the front sight nearly hit him in the forehead and he had a bruise for over a week. I should have not dared him I guess!
I have two 49's, a nickle and a blued and love them both, I changed the grips on the nickle to walnut instead of the pearl it cam with because of my friends calling it a pimp gun, LOL, by the way , would anyone like to have a set of Eagle pearl grips?
I have a Rossi 38 revolver with thousands of rounds through it with never a problem. It has always been accurate as well. I am a S&W lover and this was a gift from my wife but it has been a great little gun.
WillRuss your revolver was manufactured for the New York state police in 1983,it was later recalled and replaced with mod. 27's. I also have one of these revolvers and it shoots great although I usually shoot 38 spl in it to take it easier on the gun. hope this helps. It handles 357 just fit as...
Line Rider, I have one of the 85ul revolvers and although I am a big Smith & Wesson I have nothing but good things to say about the little revolver. It was bought for my wife and she also loves it. It has a good trigger pull and shoots good for a snubby.
drgong ,great gun, I just purchased one myself in similar condition, I paid around 350 plus tax, so about 375 otd. It is a great gun and you will really like it. Buy plenty of ammo because you will enjoy shooting it a lot. Have fun
every time they're shot they are cleaned and if I only take one out of the safe to look at it or show it to someone it is wiped down before goning back. Of course most of mine are blued so I take the extra precaution.
Don't know exactly how rare it is but I have a Smith & Wesson model 10-6 chambered for 357 magnum. They were supposedly made for the NYSP in the early seventys and were later repalced with the model 27. I have read that only about 1200 were so marked. It is just like that later model 13.
