IMR-4227 works best at higher pressures. 15 grains seems kinda light for a 125g bullet. You will likely get less unburnt powder if you increase the charge. I have found that the closer I get to max the better the burn as well as more consistent velocity.
I get that schmutz as well. It takes a bunch of cycles for it to build up. After ~30 rounds I will have to clean the stuff if the punch. A quick swipe of my finger is all it takes and it’s back to loading. All will be good for another ~30 rounds. As well as the punch hole the schmutz finds...
If you are just trying to shoot good groups and not speed shooting then you may want to try an aperture sight affixed to your shooting glasses like the Merit aperture. This will work very well to bring everything into good focus. I have done this for shooting at mid to long ranges and it helps...
I own a EC9s and love it. The trigger is very nice. Not a lot of capacity but it’s slimmer then the g2c. My brother in law has the g2c so I have shot it as well. Nice trigger but it’s a bit wide for CCW which is what I would use it for.

When I got my Ruger Flat Top in 44spl I purchased one box of 50rds for $45 just so I could shoot it right away. Then I ordered Brass from Starline and got a couple 44cal molds from Midway. Shot a bunch out of that Flat Top for way less then $45 a box. I knew from the start that with 44spl...
They thought about the flame cutting issue. They placed a shield just above the barrel cylinder gap to deflect the hot gasses. I have not shot enough through it to really tell how well it works but it should eliminate the flame cutting for all intents and purposes.

I have several 357mag revolvers including the M&P R8. I really like the lighter frame even though I do not carry it, its just a nice shooter for me. Its not really that much of a handful with full power 357mag loads. It has a little more noticeable recoil then my GP100 but I think the size...
I got this timer several years ago from Amazon.
Looks like they still have it Timer
It has 4 preset values: 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours and 8 hours as well as On.
Quick and easy timer for tumbling brass.

As I tumble my brass in a unattached garage I would not hear anything until I entered the garage. Have done that several times. I think the longest I ever tumbled brass was 2 or 3 days. Was reading some posts by RCModel one day when he mentioned this very topic and he suggested to use some...
Very Sad News.
One constant with THR has been RC. His wisdom has been invaluable to me and so many others. I for one will miss his helpful reply's to all types of questions.
There should be a special subforum/repository just for RC's Wisdom.
RIP and condolences to his family!

Shooting them will be way easier and faster then trying to pull em.
Look at it like a learning experience. Always double check your load before loading a bunch up. We have all made this mistake but it is always safer to double check. At least you did not make the mistake in the other...
It looks like what you have is 32 Winchester Special box(s) that are filled with 32 Remington rounds.
The 32 Winchester was introduced in the Winchester Model 94 I believe. The 32 Remington was introduced in the Remington Model 8 semi-auto rifle. From what I understand they were pretty much...
I had hernia surgery last year.
For the first couple weeks after I did not have any desire to do any reloading or shooting. Once I started feeling better my wife would not let me do any reloading as bullets are heavy and working the press looked to physical. I went shooting about a month...
I have been using the funnel method for years. To avoid static problems get an aluminum funnel. Works great. The only time I have powder spills is when my clumsy side gets involved, which is to frequent anymore as I get older. As long as I take my time it all goes where I want it.
This is...
I don't have to justify a gun purchase to myself. If I take a fancy to something and I have the money I buy it. Done deal.
Years ago my wife asked me why I needed to buy a new gun as I already had several. My reply was I don't need that new gun I want that new gun!
Once she got my meaning...
I shoot lead WC out of my LCR just fine. They are not even Hard Cast as I use WW alloy. No leading and no tumbling. Shoot pretty accurate for a snubby.
I would not worry about it until I see something to worry about. ;)

Shooting guns is a dirty business. If you want your guns to stay clean don't shoot them. If you want to shoot them then some cleaning will be required and with some powders more cleaning may be necessary. Shooting light loads of any powder will be "more dirtier". Its part of owning and...
I have been using Starline brass for nearly 30 years. Started with a bunch of 357mag brass around 1985. At the time I had never heard of Starline. I am still using some of that brass today for my plinking 357mag stuff. When I need to buy new pistol brass I always check with Starline first...
