I'm using my Calwell lead sled and I'm firing my brand new Ruger pellet rifle ("forward recoil"). On it is a air rifle scope that came with the pellet gun. I may have to upgrade the scope.
Hack
I'm trying to see if my scope is worth a crap. Sometimes it hits the x and other times it doesn't. I'm trying to figure out if it is me or the scope that is a POS.

Help requested - looking for a remote trigger puller
I've looked high and low and can't find what I have in mind.
What I'm looking for is a device that will remotely pull a trigger for me.
The reason I want something like this is to make zeroing a scope easier - hands free, so to speak...
Yes, articap, I plan on sending it back. If it was lighter I would be keeping it. I really like how accurate it is.
It weighs just over 8 lbs. And for me, handicapped as I am, the Blackhawk is a bit much. The other Ruger, with a wooden stock, only weighs a little more than 6 lbs. The...
Target shot with Ruger Blackhawk Air Rifle - with pics
After, many pellets I finally got the scope zeroed and it appears to be holding zero.
For a shooting rest I placed two tripods in a "line" and laid the air rifle across their tops (I have some rifle rests, which looks like Vs, that attach...
Thanks for the info. Rarely it will smoke.
Mine seems to really like 8.1-8.2 g Crosman FP pellets.
I picked up some 8 g Crosman pointed pellets and, like you said, they group well, but a left of my POA.
Unfortunately the Blackhawk, at a little over 8 lbs, is a bit too heavy to be comfortable...
Going from a .177 air rifle to a .22 - here's why.
I've decided to return my Ruger Blackhawk 177 Air Hawk air rifle to Sportsman's Guide and get a Gamo Whisper 22 cal instead.
Here's what helped me decide...

I got me some of those Gold Gamos Raptors and do not like the way my gun shoots them.
I have a Ruger Blackhawk Air Hawk air rifle and though all of them chronied over 1000 fps, they didn't hit where the scope cross hairs lay.
It seems like my gun loves the pellets in the 8 g range. They group...
I did not get the Ruger air rifle I had planned to.
I did not get the Ruger I had planned to. The one I got is called the Ruger Blackhawk. This gun is new for 2009. It still carries Ruger’s name. It’s made in China. It’s rated at 1000 fps. If you want to see one...

Adding a Ruger Air Hawk air rifle to my gun cabinet.
Ordered a Ruger Air Hawk air rifle from Sportsman's Guide and am looking forward to trying it out around the yard, got some pesty squirrels.
The rifle and 500 Champion pellets cost me $97.93, to my door.
I read many, many good reports on...
Can you believe it - Another suicide at my range.
It's been less than a month and now another guy has walked into Shooters of Columbus (Ga), rented a gun and blow his brains out.

I don't know what to say . . . ...
I visited a forum that was dedicated to the Spikes kit and it said to snip off some coils, just be sure not to get the spring less that 7.25, (or 7.5, can't remember which) inches long. So, I snipped off 2 coils and it is a tack driver and shot much, much better - still had a few fail to leave...
