    Times - They are a change'n

I only put them in 2 weeks ago! It took a long time to sign up for them too...:(

    Times - They are a change'n

I never see the in-stock notice in time on those sites. I never even get the emails! :(

    Times - They are a change'n

I remember when I started loading in 2010 or so primers were ~$40/1000. A couple years later, I got a decent amount of Tula primers at $20/1000 or so. I never thought they'd get that low again, but in late 2019 they were. I didn't stock up since I was not doing much loading or shooting due...

Looking for recommendations - good gunsmith/machinist

I've got a 17hm2 rimfire barrel that is unusable due to a feed ramp cut into the chamber that causes every casing to burst. It's a custom barrel and I'm wanting to salvage it by boring and press fitting/bonding a ring of stainless into it, and then re-cutting the chambe. They may not even need...

Where are reloading components available (Not a Discussion Thread)

Powder seems to be widely available. Primers are hard to get.

    Muzzle devices ??

I recently bought a Witt Machine SME, it's a really good concept in theory, but the company's execution really sucked and customer service was worse. I want to be able to recommend it so badly, but I can't due to the terrible QA and customer service. Witt Machine sent the wrong color and the...

Ruger American Ranch - What rings?

I mounted up the scope today, and it seems to be secure, and looks nice. Unless there are issues, I'd say the rings work fine.

Ruger American Ranch - What rings?

Well, I have to walk back the USA made bit...apparently that's gone by the wayside... That is a bummer -- I'm not too thrilled that they abandoned USA manufacture, it seems like I may as well have ordered some $8 Chinese rings.

Ruger American Ranch - What rings?

For sure. The rings and optic should be here next week and the rifle should be released from the gun gulag by then.

Ruger American Ranch - What rings?

Thank you all for the input! I love the Warne vertical split (also have them on a CZ), but since this is a budget build, I bought a set of the low Leupold Rifleman since they are USA made and $16. I got a Fujinon Accurion 1.75-5x32 scope on eBay for $100, so I should have a sweet little setup...

Ruger American Ranch - What rings?

300blk, it'll mostly be used for plinking with light cast bullet loads.

Ruger American Ranch - What rings?

Talk to me about rings for this rifle -- what did you choose and why? I've not bought a set of rings in a long while and need recommendations. I'll probably stick with a either an illuminated LPVO (1-6x24 or so, 30mm tube) or a classic 2-7x33 Redfield scope.

Controlled round feed rifles under 1,000 dollars

How about a CZ? Those come in sub-1k, but I'm not sure if they are still Mauser pattern actions...I know the 527 is still a Mauser style controlled feed.

DIY Lee Turret lighting upgrade. What a difference!

Great photos. The light makes a huge difference -- it's nice to be able to see the bottom of a casing without straining!

Yes, the link is in post #12: (DIY Lee Turret lighting upgrade. What a difference!) I made 10 of them this morning.

DIY Lee Turret lighting upgrade. What a difference!

A few parts came in, and I've solved the biggest "problem" with the existing press light systems -- needing some uncommon power source/supply. Now these are USB powered, so you can use a phone charger or battery bank to power the 9 daylight LEDs per light for convenient illumination without...

In search of a couple 0.315 round balls

When I get brave enough to go fight the hoards at walmart in the midst of this pandemic (eherm, blue state power flex), I'll bring my calipers and look for a pack.

In search of a couple 0.315 round balls

Haha, that's one solution to this problem, Probably not interested in another smokepole, but which rifle? Photos?

In search of a couple 0.315 round balls

I have some .375 balls, but that seems like a large difference to beat into the barrel...
