I mounted up the scope today, and it seems to be secure, and looks nice. Unless there are issues, I'd say the rings work fine.

Talk to me about rings for this rifle -- what did you choose and why? I've not bought a set of rings in a long while and need recommendations. I'll probably stick with a either an illuminated LPVO (1-6x24 or so, 30mm tube) or a classic 2-7x33 Redfield scope.

How about a CZ? Those come in sub-1k, but I'm not sure if they are still Mauser pattern actions...I know the 527 is still a Mauser style controlled feed.
