I used the Acog RCO while in the Marines for many years. I am not saying this scope is anywhere near that quality, what I am saying is if you don't have a few hundred to a couple thousand to put into a tac scope then this is a great option. Will it last a lifetime? I doubt it, and I have done...
So I just wanted to put this out there. I went to the gun show today and bought a NcStar Mark III P4 Sniper 2-7X32. It came with a quick mount for the flat top AR already attached. I paid 95 bucks for the scope. Initially the mount didn't clamp down on my AR tightly, but without reading the...
Spec ops, take your business elsewhere. Go out to bristow and see the colonel. He's a retired Marine and he runs a pawn shop. I would bet the farm he would let you ship to his ffl, and wouldn't give you any hassel. Just tell him a Marine sent ya.
Ok, I am just hearing about this carbon thing. Someone explain it to me please, and Azziza why would you never touch one? Good/Bad about the carbon recievers?
So after doing some looking around, I find BCM and Spikes Tactical making AR parts for affordable prices. But is it too good to be true? Will they hold up to real use?
Gents,
I am looking to build a M4, and have been looking at this gun broker site. Has anyone purchased from there? They are advertising stripped lowers for $85. Sounds great, but I am skeptical. And has anyone heard of LRB? (company making lowers)
Ok guys, I am looking for a tactical forend, and a full length rail for a 18 1/2" barrel on a Mossberg 500. I have seen the minotaur ones, and one shot tactical. Hopefully I can find something cheaper. Any ideas?
they are not hand loads, I have the casing from the deer I shot and it's made by winchester. I have been looking on their website and I can only think it might be 115gr. But I guess I won't really know unless I can get in touch with the chairty that gave it to me. Thanks guys.
Gentlemen,
I am not reloading ammo, but I was given a rifle and it was sighted in for me. I was supplied a box of ammo, however I never got the box. I was hoping someone could tell me how to figure out what grain bullet I have since it is sighted in dead accurate, and I want to stay with...
I would never carry FMJ in any weapon if not forced. In Iraq we had to, NATO blah blah Geneva Convention blah blah so on and so forth. But after hitting enemy combatants with wither 9mm ball, or 5.56mm FMJ and watching them continue on I know first hand, not just based on ballistics, that it is...
Hey guys, I have a Ruger M77 Hawkeye, in 25-06. Don't know much about the ballistics of the round. I love the rifle, and it did take down two deer, though niether were farther than 50yds. What do you guys think? Could it be used as a sniper round? What is the largest game you'd go after with one?
KP,
I have been in the Marines for ten years, I also work part time at the gun counter at Dicks Sporting Goods. While I agree that 7mm-08 is a great round and very similar, in ballistics, to the .270 it is very hard to find. I haven't seen it in our store, or anywhere else for that matter...
well i know that when we invaded Iraq one of the companies in my battallion all took personals and when caught all were melted down, and each marine recieved NJP. but because they were told it was ok by their CO no punishment was taken, just paper work so no one else could charge them. still...
thats right i totally forgot about the D.E. but thats a hand cannon. no way you are gonna conceal that thing. i just dont understand why no one uses that caliber more. its a tried and true round, and as someone already pointed out it can stop a bear. so why not? they can make a 3 inch s&w 629...
does any one else think this was just a cover story for being a bad shot, and missing whatever he was shooting at? no one celebrates by shooting at a downward angle at someones house. I think he was trying to hit something and thought it was better to be charged with that than attempted murder.
