So, thinking of finally sending my Springfield Armory parkerized loaded off to be customized. Probably going to go with the SA custom shop.
I know i'm going for a refinish and checkering of frontstrap. Intending this to be my primary gun for carry, home defense, and probably idpa. What...
I bought a Smith 29 Classic, wood grips. Love the look of it, but after 50 rounds my thumb has a chunk out of it and I'm bleeding pretty good. I think the culprit is the grips have a sharpish edge on them at the top that gouges out a chunk of skin a little bit each shot.
First, anyone else...
I've seen older double action revolvers (guessing 60's production) with a finger grooved part added in the area behind the trigger guard. It looks like the intention is to lower the shooters grip on the stocks by 3/4 of an inch or so.
Never seen a production revolver with them in the 20 years...
Brought home two new toys last week and hit the range again today with them. Figured I'd write up a short range review with my impressions.
First, S&W 29 classic 44 Mag, blue, 6 1/2". I was initially very upset when my FFL pulled it out of the box. I ordered from Buds, and it must have been a...
I went to an indoor range recently in Houston. Normally I frequent the ranges close to my house outside of Houston but I went with some guys from work and it was closer to work.
They required you to show them any ammo you intended to shoot which was a first for me. When I asked if they had...
I'm thinking about getting a dedicated .22lr Upper to supplement my AR's and am wondering if anyone makes one with fixed carry handle and front sights. Prefer an A2 style, but a CAR style would be acceptable as well.
Most all I've seen have been flattops as they're all the rage now. Anyone...
At one point, I was a real Ruger fanboy. When I first started shooting, my first autopistol was a Ruger P94 .40 S&W. It was followed by a GP100, Blackhawk .44, Mark II, and 10/22. All were sold to help pay my tuition several years ago. I kept only the firearms that I figured I couldn't replace...
With my new job, I'm spending quite a bit of time in the car and much less time carrying on my person during the week as my job entails working in government buildings where carry isn't an option. I'm thinking a 4" revolver might be a good bet since I generally have the firearm on the front seat...
Went to my second gun show of the year. Went to the Pasadena gun show last month and then again today. It left me questioning just where we're at, collectively speaking.
I've ordered quite a bit of stuff lately on the internet: Rock River CAR style upper, Rock River Match A2 style upper...
