CZ vs Glock vs Sig vs walther

All great guns, I'm sure. You could include S&W, HK, XD, and any M1911 in the list as well as others. For us the hands down favorite is Walther. After the first 1000 rounds through my P99 AS 9mm I decided I need one in .40S&W as well. With this one I shoot my best groupings to date. I have...

When you die, where are your guns going?

Statistically I'll probably go before my wife. She likes guns and knows how to use certain ones. Our sons would like to have several but she not in favor of me giving any to them though they are grown (understandable motherly concern). Sooner or later the kids will end up with them.

Hi all. Permit me to introduce myself. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I served in the US Army Signal Corps in Pleiku, Vietnam in 1968-69. My weapon was an M14 and I hope to have one of my own someday. Having become interested in firearms only about three years ago I have...

    Guns in water

I believe it was an episode of 'Sea Hunt' in the early '60s in which a SCUBA diver shot at Lloyd Bridges with a handgun under water. The point was that the bullet would be effective only a few feet in water. I don't remember if it was a revolver or semiauto. Russell

    Ammo confiscation at airport

Don't fly that loaded magazine into or out of the Golden State. California regards a loaded magazine=loaded gun, a felony. Russell

Using only new guns for defense

Except, of course, in places like here, the People's Republic of California, where every firearm transfer is required to go through an FFL and be registered with the Cal DoJ permanently. This way, any stolen gun should be netted by the process during the 10-day waiting period. As an added bonus...
