ammo cans

Do any members have an opinion about the various plastic cans vs mil. surplus cans for ammo storage? If surplus cans are no longer available, which of the alternatives are best in your opinion? Have any of you tried the Horror Freight and various other Chinese metal cans and have any opinion...

A question for the members that are dialed into current mil policy. I was told by a soldier that all ammo cans were being destroyed instead of being surplussed out. Is it possible that this level of irresponsibility has really taken over mil policy?

Just a general question. I'm curious about your guys' philosophies on this. This is how I store ammo: 1. The bulk of my ammo is stored in the boxes it came in, inside either plastic, or metal milsurp ammo boxes. These are all locked. 2. I keep my reloaded ammo in mtm or Cabelas brand plastic...
