    Muzzle loaders

My great great grandfather’s muzzle loader has been sitting for years. Looking to shoot it but want to be sure not to damage it or myself. Probably hasn’t been fired in 75 years. It’s a 41” barrel, smooth bore 3/4”. With percussion cap. Not sure if it was upgraded to a shotgun cap or not. It’s...

Help with my first antique gun

Hello everyone, hope you're doing ok in these crazy times. I'm here once again asking for your expertise, while browsing a famous auction house I stumbled upon a beautiful Winchester Hotchkiss in .45-70; it is in pretty good conditions and I'm kinda in love with old bolt action rifles but, when...

    16 gauge buckshot

Any opinions on shooting 16 gauge no 1 buck out of a 1926 Enders Special service sxs shotgun? I know birdshot is fine and slugs are a no-no, but I would think buckshot would be alright since it has less kick than a slug. The gun is in great condition, no cracks in the stock and good bore and action.

    Enders Special Service

Earlier in the summer I got a shotgun at a garage sale. $50 for a dirty but workable double barrel shotgun, of course I had to pick it up. Brought it home, cleaned it up and turned it into a very nice gun. Here’s what I know from my research thus far: Made by crescent arms for shapeleigh...

Box o' guns that need context.

Hello friends, I have a challenge for you. My FIL has a box of older rifles/shotguns that he let me take a look at, he wants to know if he has anything unique. I was able to identify the model numbers on all but one, and price (tentatively) most of them, but i was hoping the scholars and...

    Unknown Gun (Mauser?)

I inherited this gun from my grandfather among other guns but this one I’m not too sure what it is exactly. My guess is it’s a Mauser because of the receiver but I don’t know what kind of Mauser or if that’s not a Mauser stock.

    Coast to Coast pump shotgun

Went into the local gun shop today. These guys are known for having great prices. I happened to find a beautiful coast to coast 12 gauge pump there. It looks to be between 60s and 80s but funtions perfectly. They want 95$ for it. What all can somebody tell me about these? Are the coast to coast...

    Dehumidifier and humidity percentage.

I have been using dehumidifiers for a while I only got a dehumidifier gauge not too long ago and it is winter in New Jersey so humidity is normally low I'm seeing about 27% of humidity where I storage my firearms right now. My dehumidifiers is work more in the summer so I haven't seen what the...
