plains pistol

I normally shoot PRB, but somehow have ended up with a ton of .50 sabots. Have never had much luck with them in the rifles, but wonder how they'd do in a .50 Lyman Plains Pistol. It has a fast twist like the sabot shooters do, but may not reach the velocity needed to stabilise the longer...
