‘Expedite the process’: Records show City Hall pressured police to return confiscated guns during MN

Why were they confiscated during the riots?
Because they were on humans rioting? Adding to the commotion?
If so, why would we expedite the return of their firearms over any other time a firearm is confiscated for criminal activity?

If they are in fact some kind of professional, or even amateur, security company, they will have other arms. I am a carpenter, I have more than one hammer.
If a single “hammer” is too much for them to lose, they should seriously rethink being in the private security business.

Who were securing? Where was this person, and why were they out in a time of Marshall Law?
Or were they out roving as a pack of scary looking guys?

But I’m not sure why it was written in the first place. The whole article is a farce. No one will corroborate any detail. Plenty of he-said,she-said.
Why would they? “Mayor’s office” hiring vigilantes, cops ignoring duty because of a business card, the government wanting to give back firearms.
It reeks of Saturday morning cartoon.

It’s so ridiculous, it’s probably true…

"The deputy chief later confirmed that the city was contacted by the Freedom Fighters for assistance in retrieving their property after criminal charges were declined for riot and weapons violations."

after criminal charges were declined for riot and weapons violations
Sorry, it’s been coffee since.

Then they should receive them back in a timely manner.

I still question the prudence in “Rittenhouse security”.
It should be each man securing his own family and possibly neighbors. Not a group of armed men, who are not police officers or national guard, rolling on a situation they haven’t been privy to for the previous fifteen minutes, to protect things that are not theirs.
Doesn’t seem wise to me.
Don’t be holding a gun when the government arrives, akin to, Invite not the devil.

But I still feel the need to “protect the village” too, so I have no good answer for it.

Other than prior extensive communication with authorities.
Hard during a riot, that’s why they’re bad.
