Duty proven guns...I've got several whose model types have been carried/approved by LEO or military personnel; but only three that were actually used in one of those capacities. I personally carried a Remington-Rand 1911A1 & a S&W M-15, and a Browning Hi Power while serving in Vietnam. I now own all three model types, but only the 1911A1 actually saw combat.
My Sig P226 MK25, & P220's were issue weapons at one point or another for either LEO or military use, but neither of mine was actually carried by uniformed officers. Lastly, I have a Luger DWM in .30 Luger caliber. A 1920 manuf. gun, it has German police markings that qualify it as a "Duty" gun.
All that said, I do feel better armed with larger "duty" sized guns which preform with better accuracy and comfort than my usual carry choices: (a Smith M-60 .357, or a Sig P365), though the P365 runs very close accuracy wise.
For the most part, on given day, with chores to do on my daily tour of our farm acreage, I usually choose one of the larger handguns from the safe. But, I like a lot of different guns, and if I've got play time in the schedule, I'll choose a different piece depending on my mood.
Best Regards, Rod
