The DS which has a hole in the barrel and a big Hex bold leaded into it was thrown in for free as a parts gun. I have since gotten the DS barrel replaced and it is now functional. Still need an ejector rod for it. The Cobra needs an ejector rod head. Sure wish I bought more of the 1903s. They were a great bargain for 20+ years. IMO it's one of the best handguns of all time.

Wow. This is going to be an awesome pic thread I think. It is depressing though, some of the guns posted I used to own, the woodsman, DetSpec, Frontier Scout, etc....

I know the feeling! Started with a Trooper Mk.III, two Mk.Vs, a Detective Special, a Viper, and a couple of New Frontier .22s. With semi-autos mostly 1911s/Governments, some Combat Commanders, and a Government .380.

Sigh...

my first gun. A Diamondback .22.

a .32 and a .380.

That’s enough for now...
Wow, amazing collection, you've got all "modern" aspects covered.

I've only ever owned but two Colt's, a WWII 1911, and a Colt Jr., both long gone.

4" Diamondbacks, a 22 and a 38. Original stocks are stored away.

Just beautiful!

When I started working in 1969, we had to buy our own equipment, then wait until later in the year for an equipment/uniform allowance check, and it actually didn't cover everything we needed that first year.

I really wanted a Diamondback, but it was just too expensive for me compared to a S&W Model 10, plus I needed to buy a small 2" gun. The Diamondback was also probably too pretty to get beat up as a service gun, but I still regret not buying one. lol

Such a great thread. It's going to be photo dense by any definition.
Colt and I have some history.

I would include the LE6920, except it's not a Handgun.

I haven't seen anybody post a

The only Colts I have, at the moment.
Sold a Thunderer (built in 1883) the gun preferred by Billy the Kid. Cool gun, but I prefer something I can carry and shoot.

I only have two Colts, a Single Action Army .45LC from 1956 and a Cobra .38 Spec. from 1954.

I think if I could only have two Colt revolvers, I would be perfectly content with those two!

Thanks for sharing!

I noticed the difference in the barrel markings and the placement of the Rampant Colt on your Cobra. Would you share the year of manufacture? Just curious. BTW I use mine as my main carry also. Perfect for this application in my opinion.
