I have a Smith Corona 03A3, I can't seem to figure out why sometimes it fails to eject the spent casing. It pulls it from the chamber alright, it just doesn't flip it out of the gun. Replaced the ejector and still get the occasional failure. Anybody got any ideas on the subject?

How are you working the bolt? Fast, or slow? Mine, if you work it slowly will only bump it off the boltface, won't actually eject.

Mine will "Eject" if the magazine selector is in the ON position. If I have it in single shot "OFF" selection, it extracts but does't actually "Eject" it.

Are you working the bolt sufficiently? I have a K98 Mauser that will eject the brass just fine if I don't slo-mo the bolt when cycling.

I have several bolt actions, both commerical and military, so fairly sure I'm working the bolt correctly, but will pay attention to that when next I get it out, hope the problem is as simple as that.

I second the motion...

Check which position your magazine cutoff switch is in. (It shortens the bolt stroke) ;)
