Ok, so I have had a Ruger 10/22 for a couple years. I had never stripped it for cleaning, but I decided to do so today.
I went by the manual on Ruger's site, and it came apart easy.
However, when I put it back together, I cant get it to "click!" when I pull the trigger!
The bolt moves like it is supposed to, and when I cycle the bolt, I can see the trigger re-set, and everything works like its supposed to except there is no click. When I cock it and pull the trigger, I hear a very faint almost-jingle noise, nut not the loud click.
I DID NOT dissassemble the trigger, or the bolt. Those components I kept intact.
When I was done, however, there was a piece left over that I did not take out. I do not recognize it, and I DID NOT take it out. It is possible that it could have fallen out, but I dont know where or how.
Actualy, I dont even know if it is a leftover piece. I had all of my cleaning stuff out and it could be some miscelaneous thing that happened to be sitting on my towel.
It is a rod about 2 inches long with a spring wrapped around it. It is about twice as thick as the guide-rod/spring component and has a wierd-shaped black part protruding. I do not see it on any of the exploded-parts diagrams.
What did I doooooo? :banghead:
How do I fix this?
