10mm?

Who carries one?

I own this Glock 20 and like it. I use it for woods use and around the property. Hard to argue with 180 grains moving on out at 1300 utilizing hollow-tipped expanding boolits. It’s .357 power but with 16 rounds aboard.

:D I've carried a Glock 20 for years. I got mine when it seemed like there were only two real options for a double stack 10mm, Glock and EAA. I wanted an EAA but my LGS's couldn't find one.

I gave my G20 and it's Kenai Chest Holster to my Dr. Son as he (now we) lives in Bear Country in Oregon. I changed the sights to Ameriglo ones and massaged the trigger a bit. It shoots great and is controllable. I switched to Sig X-Ten this summer and was surprised at the greater recoil I felt when shooting. THEN GrayGuns came out wit +4 mag extensions with heavy floor plates and a heavier and longer and better shaped mag well that attaches like it was factory. It made the gun feel softer in recoil with the same loads than the G 20 ! The sights on an X Ten are perfect from the factory and it is MOS with a direct fit RMR cut ! now if I could get two more factory mags, they have back ordered a year !

How do you like that? I handled one in the stores, it’s a handful, but if one can manage it they seem really nice for the price.

My opinion, it’s the best value long slide high capacity 10mm pistol out there. Fully tuneable because of the (mostly) 1911 spec internal parts cannot be over stated.

First time I shot it. At 25 yards. Yes, 25 yards, cheap factory S&B 180 grain hollow points. Before the tune and my handloads, LOL

What manufacturer is that?

I was carrying a Glock 22.5 which is 5th generation 40 S&W with a thicker slide than prior Glock 40's.
My 20SF fits the same holster and conceals as easily as the 22.

Invariably someone thinking that a Glock 20SF is too big to carry*, unless your clothing is limited by work; says somebody living in FL concealing a Glock 20SF.
(*You might have to untuck your shirt and wear a belt, Oh the horror)
Plenty of people conceal 1911's and it is similar is size to the lighter weight Glock 20 - says somebody who has also carried 1911's.

I considered buying a Glock 20 last November but was talked out of it. I may still get one, although I am limited to 10 rounds. I didn't like the finger grooves, they didn't fit my hand very well. My dad has 10mm dies (he doesn't reload anymore) and brass.

You now have the option of the Gen5 20 without finger grooves.

I agree with you, I tolerate the finger grooves but would much rather not have them. I end up dremeling them off and do a undercut on the right side of the trigger guard when I stipple my grips.

I've carried my Glock 20 before but I've since changed to appendix carry. I ordered a new holster, should get it this week. We'll see how it goes. I usually carry a Glock 19.

A 10mm pocket rocket in the form factor of a Glock 48 would be nice in a place where magazine capacity tyranny is a thing. I'm sure it would be a niche market, but I'm not that averse to recoil. It would make for a nice lightweight compact woods gun.

I carried one of these two on the ranch everyday for 20 years.
I was instrumental in the creation of the Dan Wesson Razorback 10mm Govt model and received mine in a presentation box for my contribution from the owner of DW. The serial number on the Govt model is my old badge number.
I liked it well enough that I talked the then owner into producing a custom CCO sized version of the Razorback. As far as I know it's the only one in existence. Serial number is my old badge number -1
I retired them both when I moved back to town.. Too much horsepower for city living.

I can tell you the 10mm round is very effective on wild critters and injured livestock.

I'm carrying a Glock 29 quite a bit these days. Should take some pictures of it for THR I guess, but it's not a gun that sparks me. It was a purchase I would probably not make again. By now most people here have probably seen me whine about the trigger, but I also can't control the thing well enough with full power loads. In an effort to decrease recoil I have been dropping bullet weight, but even in the 150 grain neighborhood, maximum loads still jerk the gun out of my support hand. Decreasing charge weight brings things into control, but then I have to wonder if I shouldn't have just bought a 9 mm.

I've been playing with the 115 grain bullets from Lehigh Defense, and even at 1500 FPS recoil is still quite manageable - though the thing is now loud as hell. The real question is whether the bullet is acceptable for defensive use, and I don't know of any way to answer that question.
