Hello everyone I'm in need of a little help. So I recently purchased 500 9mm 125 gr pulled HSTs and I'm having trouble trying to work up a load. I'm trying to replicate factory specs. I don't have quickload but I was just wanting to see if someone out there could punch in some numbers for me if it wouldn't be too much trouble.

So here's what I have:
Bullet oal: .584"
Powder: Alliant BE-86
COAL: 1.100"
Barrel length: 4.14"
My goal
* to get velocity around 1150 fps.

I know that this is a newer powder and might not be in quickloads but if anyone could help it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I think Alliants BE86 data is on the hot side.
They list 5.9 as a MAX I quit a bit before there.
I think somewhere around 5.5 grains will get you where you want to be.
Can't find my 5.7 numbers at the moment but 5.7 was over 1200fps.

This was a "normal" lot of BE86, I had one lot that gave the same vels with .1-.2 gr less than my "normal" lots.
Hope this helps

I'm not trying to be a buzzkill, but if they are truly 125's they are probably 357sig bullets. The factory specs for them will be significantly higher than the 124gr 9mm bullets. It may not matter at all, depending on your intended usage. If you're looking for optimal hollowpoint performance, though, you may not get it at 1150.

My testing pretty much matches Dudedog's up to 5.1gr. From other testing I've seen, I also agree with his assessment of 5.5gr.

You still need to work up to that load and hopefully do it over a chrono.

I agree, BE86 load data is on the hot side, I stay almost a full grain below the max, and get very good results, when I go up near the max, it's just too hot for shooting paper. Work up your loads carefully with this powder.
