$1500 Italian Beretta 81BB 32acp. Is this a fluke or a special gun?

For $200-$250 they were an outstanding deal. Everyone loves shooting mine. It's like a nice little 22 plinker with more oomph.

But $1500? That's just funny. I doubt that one ever gets paid for. It'll likely be back on the auction block in a week or two.

GB is so full of shill bidders

Evolution stops when stupidity is no longer fatal. HAS anyone notice that people are acting dumber since covid 19?
LOL. Yea, and I think thats just getting started, and all about to play out too. ;)

As far as the drunk thing and GB, I used to sell a lot of stuff on eBay, and sold some stuff on GB. Either way, I always tried to have my auctions end on a weekend evening. I always seemed to do a lot better, and a lot of stuff sold for more than the same thing new was selling for.

I dont know for sure if it did or didnt, but Im betting a lot of that had something to do with BWD. :p

I’m curious what the eagle with CFS mark on the frame represents.

Someone may have already posted that CFS was the State Forestry Corp in Italy. They were similar to Forest Rangers here in the US. The department was dissolved at the end of 2016. I noticed that RGuns had those uniquely marked 81’s and made sure to get one in case they became more desirable. Also the one I got was an 81BB.

I have a M1 Cabine that I got from the CMP that is marked from the Bavarian Forest Police. I don’t really expect that will increase its value in the future. But I worked in the paper industry and it has some interest value for me.

Specially marked firearms usually have some value for someone.

I saw a 950BS (Jetfire in .25acp) go for $950 recently on GunBroker. Others on the same page were still hanging around $400.

I got my 950B, a more-desirable one in my opinion, for $150 at a LGS right before the latest rush started.
I have two Jetfires, and both were in the $200 range less than 10 years ago.

I have quite a few pocket pistols and very few were more than $200. Thing was 10 years ago they were everywhere because nobody wanted them for $200.

My Jetfire is like 41 years old, it was my only gun left when I sold them all off in 1982. Now it sits in a drawer, ready and waiting as it has for almost 40 years now. I put a lot of rounds through it when it was my only gun, and unlike almost every other gun I've owned, it never had a misfire, dud, etc. I carried it as a back up for a couple of years after many other guns I bought didn't work out, or, in a couple of cases, work at all.
