I'm thinking about getting a .17 for some long range varmint shooting. I am partial to Leupold optics. However, for the price of a Leupold scope, I can buy a second .17. So, what I am asking is what is the best scope for a .17. I do not want to spend more than $150 or so on the scope. I looked in Cabelas and the BSA Sweet 17 and Cabelas Pine Ridge 17 scope caught my eye since they compensate trajectory. Do you have any experience with these two scopes? Also, what other scopes, if any, do you fancy on your .17? I want a scope of at least 3-9 power, but I prefer something with more power.
