1858 New Model Navy .38 Spl conversion

Thinking about getting a new pistol for Christmas.
Are the Cimarron and Taylor and Company "1858 New model Navy conversion .38 special 7.5inch" guns the same gun, both imported by Uberti? Are there any differences? Is one better than the other?

Howdy

You have it backwards. Both guns are manufactured in Italy by Uberti. Uberti has not imported anything into this country for probably close to 20 years now once Uberti USA was discontinued.

Cimarron and Taylors are importers, they do not manufacture anything. The 38 Special conversions offered by each importer are the same. One minor correction, the barrels are 7 3/8" long.

Go with whichever offers the best price, both will have the same guns.

If in doubt, I would go with Taylors because in my experience they have better customer service.
