I posted in the Firearm Research area some questions about an 1873 Winchester I own but I'm beginning to think I should have posted in this forum. Should I move my post?

No, you're fine. I looked at the pictures and, well, it's a real old gun so I was thinking of offering you $50. if that's ok.

Someone will be along soon. One thing for sure they haven't made old Winchesters in a very long time.

351 Winchester uhhh, Winchester just started offering a Japanese Miroku made 1873 last year, in .357 Magnum,, from Japan,,,,

Back around 1979 I was offered a near identical 1873 in same .38/40 caliber and made about the same time as that one.
Price was $250 and I turned it down because ammo was $25 a box of 50 and back then that was plain outrageous!

50 rounds of .38/40 Winchester made cartridges will set you back about $65.00 now if you can find any and I'm betting the rifle is worth a bit more than $250 now as well.
If the bore is shootable it is like $2000 now at retail.

351 Winchester
Indeed :D
Of course if anybody wants to sell one for $50, even a beater, I will step up and do the right thing. ;)
