I am able to get an 1895gs for super cheap but I like the look of the 6 shot magazine tube. I have looked and am not able to find a SS tube for 6 shot anywhere. Can somebody point me where to find one I will be going to gunsmithing school and figured I could switch the tubes as a project if its gonna be a wait for the tube should I just spend the money on a new 1895gbl? I do like the gbl but i like the straight grip. Thanks for any help.

not hard tho with the rising prices of marlins i would not do it. unless the gun is in poor shape and you restore it.
i just cut a tube to hold 4 rounds on my 336-35rem.

Have you checked out numrich gun parts? They may have one, probably need a different length spring too.

Edit to add:

If they don't have stainless, you could get a blued one, than pickup a blued big loop style lever and fit it. Than you'll have a two tone look. If they would need re blueing after fitting that would be an addition thingtto learn for the school project.

If you like the straight grip, and I do. It is easier to convert the magazine than to try to convert pistol grips to straight.

I don't have an address but there is an enterprising company that sells heat exchanger tubing for magazine tube stock in whatever length you want. I have used the carbon steel products but I am sure they could supply stainless also. I will see if my customer who bought the tube still has the address.
