I have two 1903 Colt Pocket Pistols that I am thinking of selling. They are 32 automatics, both made in 1916 and in at least 90 percent condition, maybe better. One is blue, the other is chrome or nickel. What would be a fair asking price? Thanks.
I would say at least $500 for the blued one. A less than perfect nickel finish is another story. Ten percent wear on a blued gun is nothing. Ten percent on a nickel plated gun can be a big deal.
If they are truely 90% guns then I'd say they need to be at auction. Let a few Colt collectors see them and find out just what they are worth.
Take lots of good pics and mention everything you know about the history.
Actually the nickel pistol has only slight wear on the grips. The finish is absolutely perfect. If you guys keep talking, you are going to make me reconsider selling them. Thanks for all your help.
