Well I finally got the 3 1903 front sight blades I ordered from Numrich. They are not original G.I. but nevertheless they are what they are. The sight I am repacing is G.I. and is stamped "C" which I believe means it is the middle tall blade. My understnading is they had 5 different blades stamped A through E. A being the tallest. The ones I got from Numrich are all the same. Made by aftermarket and are .005 in. thinner that the G.I. blade. Meaning they are
.045 in. thick instead of .050 in. thick. But the good news is they measure .035 in. taller than the "C" blade I had. This should bring the 200 yrd. sight-in down a bit. The "C" G.I. blade measured .500 in. from base to tip. The non-G.I. blade measures .535 in. tall. At $1.40 each really not much to loose.
