You will probably have to cut it.

Most replacement springs I am aware of are long enough to also be used in the 1890 or 62/62A.

As such, they are long enough for a mag that holds 20 Shorts or 14 Long Rifles.

The Model 06 only holds 15 Shorts, or 11 Long Rifles.

I can't tell you exactly how long to cut it, but thats what it should hold with 11 Long Rifles in the tube and the spring fully compressed.

the spring they sent me is so long it wont compress into the tube if i did get it in it would shoot the follower out i don't know how much tension should be on it

Like I said above.

Cut coils until it will fully compress with 11 .22LR rounds in the mag.

I could take mine apart and measure it, or count the coils, but I ain't going too.

It wouldn't be right anyway unless it was exactly the same coil stock as your replacement spring. And it isn't.
