Hello everyone! I'm trying to get to $100 on MidwayUSA to get the $15 off so I was thinking of getting everything I need to polish and tune my extractor on my POS Taurus.

I've found lots of info on how to do it, but I don't know what tools to buy.

I assume I need a stone for the faces so should I get fine or very fine?

How do I get to the inside of the extractor? Do i need a really small file?

If someone could give me a list of stuff I need on MidwayUSA that would help a lot! Thanks!

You can do anythiing you need or should to do to an extractor with a fine-cut needle file set and some 400 or 600 grit black emery paper from the hardware store.

Most of it is just breaking the sharp edges that can dig into soft brass case rims, and polish what you did to do that.

Thanks RC, I just ordered a file set. I was able to get enough tention so the gun operates now, but it's still kinda messy in there. I'm going to try and make it a little more slick.

I have always just broken the sharp edges and cut a slight radius on the bottom edge. Then I take it to a buffing wheel with some white rouge. Most do not need very much file work. Easy does it.
