1911 GI ambi thumb safety

does anyone make a 1911 ambi safety that looks like the old factory low profile or “GI” safety on both sides ? Thanks.

No but I have filed a few "extended" safeties down to G.I. size when I couldn't find one. I prefer the G.I. thumb safety on my 1911s.

As do I. But being left handed is sometimes a curse. Seems like years ago colt had one but I can’t find it now.

Looked but couldn't find any ambi thumb safety like that. I think Drail has the most workable idea with grinding and filing down an ambi safety til it has close to the same configuration as the original G.I. version.

Not ambi, but I did the same thing. Would be just as easy to do on an ambi.

The safety on the first pic, and the same one on the left in the second pic started out much like the one on the right in the second pic.
