I've done a search and couldn't find what I was looking for, so here goes. Are there any DA/SA pistols that have a grip angle similar too or the same as a 1911 or maybe a P-35?

I suspect most are similar enough. SIG, Beretta, etc.

The oddity is the pistol world is the Glock/Luger/Ruger MK grip angle.

The CZ seems to have a more relaxed grip angle than the BHP and 1911. Somebody recently posted a nice graphic showing the grip angles of a bunch of pistols. Wish I could find it!

The CZ-75 feels about perfect to me.

The 105 degree pistols seem way far and away from what a 1911 feels. Except for the M&P that feels similar to the Glock and 1911. That leads me to believe that it's shape and how high the bore is over my hand that makes the most difference. NOT the grip angle.

The CZ's and Glocks 2 degree difference from the 1911 isn't noticeable, but the shape of the grip is. Location of the beaver tail is. IMO, the CZ75 feels like an M9, not a 1911. Nothing really has the 1911 feel, especially the DA/SA pistols.

Maybe try a DAO Colt?

CZ very briefly made a CZ75 type gun with a grip frame designed to emulate the M1911. It was actually a product for Colt that fell through, and was called, I believe, the CZ40.

The "B", the "P" seems normal CZ75ish.

When the 1911 was introduced it had a flat mainspring housing. During and after WW-1 soldiers complained that the grip angle wasn't natural and they were hitting low. They felt the Luger was the more natural pointer.

After the war the army conducted tests and that changing to the arched mainspring housing and soldiers shot it better. . Glock copied the grip angle of the 1911 with an arched mainspring housing when they introduced the gun.

Same as 100 years ago, most new shooters today find that grip angle to be more natural and shoot better with it. It is only experienced shooters who have gotten used to guns with a different grip angle that have trouble with Glocks and don't like arched mainspring housings on 1911. A big reason Glocks are far more popular with newer shooters.

Zerodefect, great information, never really compared my 1911s to my Glocks but they pointed similar. Wow only 2 degree difference.

I'm not sure that this is true.

Same here. Most shooters until fairly recently preferred the arched MSH. About a decade or so ago, (maybe 15 years) the flat MSH on 1911s became popular on the competition circuit (I believe it was Rob Leatham who revived it and preferred it) and from there drifted back to the commercial market as a "have to have it" custom modification like the big boys. But standard GI guns from 1926 on had the arched and that is what most folks shot.

This is an easy item to verify by the way. Go back through old gun mags and look at older guns. The arched MSH was standard on production 1911s till about 10-15 years ago.

I prefer the arched on a 1911 and the Glock grip is nothing like it. Come to it the Glock grip is not like a 1911 with a flat MSH.

It is not just the angle it is the shape of the grip.

Try this test at home...set a few mags from different guns standing up on their base on a table side by side. If they have flat bottoms that is, they will show how it sits in the hand.
