1911 grip ?

I like the fat grip of the p229 or the para TAC-4. Does anybody make a fat set of grips for my 1911 SA mil spec ? When i pick up the p229 or the tac 4 it sets in my hand just right . The 1911 does not fill my hand up it is to thin for me i need a thick grip thanks,keith

Stag grips, and copies thereof are usually on the thick side. Look around on www.gunbroker.com

One of the gun writers was pushing fat grips.

IIRC Wiley Clapp (if not him one of the other writers) designed a fat grip and somebody was making it. Herrett's of course will do made to measure target style grips. There are some other large and expensive target stocks out there - Nill Grips is very good and offers assorted sizes. Target grips or blocks can be sanded down and fit to suit.
