Now it fails to feed not all that often but often enough to bother me 1 in 50 or so. I took it to the shop where I bought it used(its a Norinco) and was told the problem was with me limp wristing it. The guy took 50 rounds downstairs and it didn't fail. He also cane down once or twice when it failed with me (round got stuck somehow, nose down I think) I was told the gun is fine and it's user error.
In looking at the barrel either someone did a bad job trying to modifiy it or those are from the factory but I doubt the latter. The feed ramp while I notice in the photo's it appears bright and shiney it is still blued and that seems to be original and not worn down or modified. If anything it has been lightly polished, the barrel I feel is something else altogether and I would guess is the source of my troubles (along with a little limp wristing probably as well in all fairness). I just want advice I think I'm not going back to that store, it's clear I'll get no satisfaction there. Any advice very much appreciated. Thank you.

Better photos might help but it looks as if the barrel ramp is overhanging the frame ramp ... specs require a minimum of a .032 setback of the barrel from the frame ramp when the barrel is fully rearward. Cure is to carefully move the barrel ramp forward without losing excessive case support which can lead to KBs even in the low pressure 45acp round. Not something you should do yourself.

Mags that present the round a little higher than normal may help .. Tripp CobraMags deliberately present the round slightly higher than spec.

Tuner will be along w a definitive opinion.

It does look that way, but it wasn't by me. As a novice I shouldn't have bought a used gun but... it's too late now. The feed ramp is unaltered of that I'm certain. Do you think I should buy a new barrel then? and if so do you have any recommendations for me? The current barrel may have enough left to be fixed but I'm not sure where to go with a job like that. I should complain to the Better Business Bureau or something. They pretty much laughed me out of the store and said I was limp wristing it. He did put 50 through it without an error so it looked pretty bad for me. I told them I wanted to return it and give them more money and buy a new gun, but they refused.

Luckily, Dan stopped before he got to the feed ramp, so the gun is salvageable. You may be able to get by with one of the aftermarket drop-in barrels, depending on how the vertical lug engagement looks...and you may be looking at a hard-fit barrel, or possibly a Kart Easy-Fit.
Other than the method of fitting, the barrels are equally good...and Kart barrels are very good.

If the slide is oversprung, limp-wristing may be part of the problem.
Many people get a 1911-pattern pistol, and immediately stick a ridiculously strong recoil spring in it.
Go to a gun shop and hand-cycle a new Colt or Springfield 5-inch gun and compare it with yours. If yours is a lot harder to manipulate, order a Wolff 16-pound spring and try it.

Where are you located?

Thanks for the reply, I'm in Wisconsin and I suspect it is oversprung.
It's much more difficult to work the slide than others I tried.
So you really think that there is probably no way to salvage this barrel ? If it's not likely, I'll buy another barrel but I'd rather not.
Where is a good place to shop for a barrel ? And a spring set maybe a 16 lb.

I replaced the barrel in my Norinco with a Springfield takeoff barrel that I bought from a custom 1911 smith. It dropped in without any fitting problems. I have shot it a fair amount since without any problems. I have heard of several others who have done this with similar results. I have a copy of Kuhnhausen's book and have saved some info posted here by Tuner and some of the other experts that I used to check the installation. I think that I paid $60.00 for the barrel so it was pretty cost effective.

I don't think that damage was done with a Dremel. Looks more like an enraged orangutan with a 12" mill file had at it!
I think I have another new drop-in Springer barrel.
