1911 Sight Cut question

I just bought this slide and was wondering what sight cut it had any help would be great

I believe that is the Novak type cut.

You may want to call Dawson Precision and ask, or email them with more detailed pictures. They sell sights for the Para dovetail and may be able to identify what you have. https://dawsonprecision.com/sights/para-usa-sights/

Of course, in the "if you have to ask" category, you may just want to send your slide to Dawson and tell them what type of sights you'd like and have them install them for you.


For what it's worth - outside of perhaps a Glock, I'm not going to fiddle with sights, I'm going to have a pro install them for me.

So the front and and rear cut seem to be .330 but only .040 deep....... any ideas?

You’d need the dovetail angle as well at the very least. It appears however that the rear of the slide has been milled down, possibly for an adjustable sight. If so, the rear dovetail will sit forward as compared to a standard Novak or clone.

See the gap? Eyeballing it against my S&W, your dovetail appears to sit about 3/16” forward of mine as well. I can’t tell you which cut you have, just making observations.
