Weapon: tisas 1911 service special 45 acp

Parts
Hammer: Wilson commander with .020 hammer hooks factory machined

Sear: Egw hard sear

Disconnector: Egw ball head

Sear spring is Wilson

So here is my situation

The trigger is 3 pounds 8 ounce and when slide is dropped the hammer will not follow, which is AMAZING!

!!!PROBLEM!!!

With slide in locked open position and trigger pulled back the hammer will follow the slide every time.

My trigger does not have an over stop screw installed and is a cylinder and slide, ( there is a hole for a screw stop)

I put more pressure of the Disconnector and still experience this issue.

What is every one's thoughts?

Entropy is correct, but you might know that already as you did not mention whether you prepped the pars or not.

In a 1911 built to the real GI specs the grip safety arm serves as an overtravel stop. On many1911s built today, either factory or smith built, the trigger overtravel screw is the stop. Either must be fitted/adjusted correctly. Based on what you've told us, that is where I would look first for a solution as excess overtravel can lift the sear spring off the sear and disconnector, thus allowing what you are experiencing.
I don't care for screw adjustable overtravel stops as they sometimes become loose/misadjusted. I Loctite and stake them in place after final adjustment.

Sears often need to be stoned to fit properly. You would need a sear stoning fixture to do this. But I’m not really sure that’s needed from your description.

My best guess is the sear spring is not installed correctly. It can easily slip out of place during assembly.

You probably should disassemble and start over by carefully reassembling all parts: trigger, sear, disconnector, sear spring, hammer, grip safety, thumb safety.

If you don't have success with your new parts, put all your original parts back in and check for function. Assuming you are successful with original parts, you might try again with your new parts.

Hope you get it sorted out.

I’m not sure you will be successful without a new thumb safety and possibly a new grip safety—and both must be fitted to work with a new sear and Disconnector.

I will look at the over stop screw first, I am going to fastener store today to find stud.

The Sear was prepped, I use a power custom fixture. Primary angle is 4 clicks secondary is 20 clicks.

I have done 3 colt 1911 with this fixture without moving the sear/hammer adapter plate and have had great success.

So this tias threw me for a loop

Thanks for the help I will get back with a result

SOLUTION TO PROBLEM

upon dismantling and re checking the sear and disconector weights with a lyman trigger pull gauge I installed a over travel screw into trigger and reassembled the 1911.

The hammer no longer follows with trigger pulled once slide is released from locked position.

Trigger pull end weight is 3 pounds 10 ounces

Will test fire this week
