Few days late for shark week but I don't think anyone here will stripe me over it. This is a rig for a local customer ordered by his new fiance'. I got this chocolate shark hide in a couple months ago and then a customer cancelled his order so it was just sitting. Fortunately for me someone else came along as I was really wanting to build something out of it. It's sitting with a pair of mag pouches on a reinforced 1.75" belt. Should hold up for a very long time.

Nice look. love the color.

A local recommended sharkskin as a great holster material. claimed it had superior capabilities as opposed to cow leather when dealing with the elements and sweat.

Thank you for the kind words!

Shark skin is extremely tough stuff, but it is not suitable alone to make a holster. It will be backed with either cow hide or horsehide to create a holster. What you get out of that combination usually is a smooth interior which makes for a great draw, and an exterior/face that does not mark up easily and stays looking good for a long time to come.

Shark is my favorite exotic to work with followed by elephant. The hide is just amazing stuff!

That's extremely handsome! A well-dressed guy would cut quite a turned-out figure appointed with a quality sidearm in such a beautiful rig as that!

Very nice looking rig! You also answered several questions I had about using sharkskin for holster material. Thanks for posting.

That's one fancy holster.

I knew before I even read the words that a shark week pun had to be in it.

I would love to have an open carry rig like that!

But where I work, many, many people would just go screwy!

I cant even think of an apt and humorous word to describe how crazy that would be.

Very nice looking setup. Thanks

be safe.

Thanks for all the kind words folks. He got it yesterday and everyone was happy - even got a nice picture from him which is one of my favorite parts.
