Thinking about buying one of the new two tone Colt’s.

I plan to have it dehorned, the trigger brough to a crisp 3.5, and a higher visibility rear added. Also would need the gun obviously refinished and would like the stainless frame vapor honed.

Any recommendations on shops currently taking work? I know the coronavirus scare has devastated many businesses. Do any shops even still work on these old glorious sidearms?

Signed, out of the loop curmudgeon

You might check with Clark. I don't know what the turnaround might be like these days.

"Melting" is extreme dehorning.

Forum member WC145 has a Clark "meltdown" shown in his last picture at post #30 in this thread

I have had a lot of work done by Clark, (trigger and action work, though not a meltdown)…highly recommended. Out of dumb luck, I was there yesterday. I would have asked…oh well, a day late and a dollar short…the story of my life…
