While I believe that most poly guns are as reliable and useful as any 1911 out there, the one thing the 1911 has over all the other autoloaders is dead sexy looks. A beautiful gun by design. Since I respect them as a tool and as a work of art, post up some pics of the best looking 1911's you've seen!

I believe the S&W 1911's are underappreciated. I'm not usually a bling fan, but I find this gun beautiful...

This is my Springfield GI that I rebuilt. It's my first project 1911. I've replaced the mainspring housing with a wilson combat flat mainspring housing and I've put thin carry grips on it as well.

Here's mine. They're probably not as "sexy" as some, but I sure like them. The first is my accessorized stainless Springfield GI. The second is my Taurus PT1911.

I agree with the OP's sentiment wholeheartedly. I'm new to shooting, but was quite taken with 1911s in general, and this one in particular...

Maybe not as sexy as some... I'd love to send it to Chuck Rogers for some more "sexyfying", but bein' as how I'm just an ol' broke schoolteacher, I'll have to settle for stock for the time bein'.
