A 1960's Crosman Christmas
From 1949 to the late '60s, there were over 100 western series that aired on the networks. Before television, the nation saw westerns at movie theaters and listened to them over the radio.
Most every kid of this time wanted to emulate their cowboy hero's from TV and the big screen.
You alway here of the Red Ryder for Christmas, but at the time Crosman manufactured a co2 line of airguns that every 10 year old wanted. If you received one of these from Santa. You where the envy of all your friends. Saddle up partner and don't shoot your eye out.

My two Crosman rifles gifted me for Christmas in the early 60s, I want to say 1960 and 1964 but I could be off a year or two. The Daisy on the bottom I bought for a nephew.

Excellent video. Thanks for posting. In the early 60's I had my father talked into getting me a Crosman BB gun but mom was terrified of the idea. Seems she may have been more afraid of the neighbors windows than me shooting my eye out the way I remember it. So that idea got put on hold for years. Crosman was the preferred air gun back then because I grew up just northwest of Rochester NY at the time Crosman was in a southeast suburb, ( Fairport NY). They're still semi-local being in Bloomfield NY now, further out in a southeast direction. I drive right by their headquarters going to one of my deer hunting spots or to visit a friend.
